Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Synaptik website or enrolling in any Synaptik programme. By accessing our website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
- "Synaptik", "we", "us", "our" refers to the business operating at 9, Jalan Tabuan, 93100 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
- "User" or "you" refers to any person accessing the website or enquiring about or enrolling in a programme.
- "Programme" refers to any structured online learning course offered by Synaptik.
- "Content" refers to all materials, exercises, live sessions, recordings, and feedback provided as part of a programme.
- "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any enrolment confirmation.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or enrolling in a Synaptik programme, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or enrol in our programmes.
3. Description of Services
Synaptik offers structured online programmes in AI development and machine learning, delivered via live sessions, guided exercises, and mentor feedback. Current programmes are:
- AI Foundations Programme (8 weeks, RM 620)
- Machine Learning Engineering Track (12 weeks, RM 2,350)
- Advanced AI Development & Deployment Programme (16 weeks, RM 4,520)
Programme availability is subject to cohort capacity. We reserve the right to modify programme content, schedules, and fees with reasonable notice.
4. Enrolment and Participation
- Enrolment is confirmed in writing following an enquiry and payment of the programme fee.
- Each participant is enrolled as an individual. Programme access and materials are non-transferable.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the technical prerequisites described for each programme prior to enrolment.
- Participants are expected to attend scheduled live sessions and engage with exercises throughout the programme. Synaptik does not extend programmes or provide make-up sessions where participation is inconsistent.
5. User Responsibilities
By enrolling or using our website, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when submitting enquiry forms or during the enrolment process
- Engage with programme materials and feedback in good faith
- Not share, distribute, reproduce, or make available any programme content to persons outside your enrolment
- Not use our website or services for any unlawful purpose
- Not attempt to disrupt, interfere with, or gain unauthorised access to our systems or services
6. Intellectual Property
All programme content, materials, exercises, and website content are the intellectual property of Synaptik or its licensors. Participants are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use programme materials solely for the purpose of their own learning during the enrolment period.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or otherwise make available any programme materials to third parties without our prior written consent.
7. Payment Terms
- All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
- Payment terms and accepted methods are confirmed during the enrolment process.
- Full payment is required prior to programme commencement unless an alternative arrangement has been confirmed in writing by Synaptik.
8. Refund Policy
Refund requests are considered on the following basis:
- Requests made more than 14 days before the programme start date: full refund of the fee paid.
- Requests made between 7 and 14 days before the start date: 50% refund.
- Requests made fewer than 7 days before the start date, or after the programme has commenced: no refund.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Synaptik reserves the right to consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
9. Completion Records
A completion record is issued for the AI Foundations Programme upon satisfactory completion of the programme requirements as defined at the time of enrolment. Completion records are not academic qualifications, do not confer accreditation, and should not be represented as such.
10. Disclaimers
Synaptik provides its programmes and website on an "as is" basis. We do not make any representation or warranty that:
- Participation in any programme will result in employment, a career change, or any specific outcome
- The skills or knowledge gained will meet the requirements of any particular employer or role
- The website will be available without interruption or error at all times
Programme content is educational in nature. It does not constitute professional advice in any field.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Synaptik's total liability to any participant or user arising from or in connection with these terms or our services shall not exceed the programme fee paid by that participant.
We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of earnings, loss of opportunity, or loss of data.
We are not liable for delays or failures resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to natural disasters, infrastructure failures, or government actions.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Synaptik, its team members, and associates harmless from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these terms or your use of our services in a manner not permitted by these terms.
13. Termination
Synaptik may terminate or suspend your access to a programme with immediate effect if you materially breach these terms, including but not limited to sharing programme materials without authorisation or engaging in conduct that disrupts the programme for other participants.
In the event of termination by Synaptik for cause, no refund will be issued. If Synaptik terminates a programme for reasons within its control (other than force majeure), a pro-rata refund will be provided.
14. Dispute Resolution
We encourage participants to raise concerns directly with us in the first instance by contacting [email protected]. We will aim to respond and work toward a resolution within 14 business days.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
15. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These terms, together with any enrolment confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Synaptik in relation to the subject matter hereof.
- Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. For enrolled participants, material changes will be communicated by email.
